OUR COCOA FARM We have a 350 acres of cocoa farm in the Kailahun District with plans underway to expand to 600 acres. In between the cocoa trees in the first 100 acres, 750 plantain and 750 banana suckers have been planted and currently provides a source for our plantain and banana supply. The first 100 acres of this farm is ready for harvesting the second 100 acres would be ready next year and the last 150 acres the year after. We have 400 trees per acre and each cocoa tree estimated to produce 40 pods with each pod containing 50-60 seeds. A total of 10 full time staff are employed on the farm with an average of 20 women and youths contracted on a casual basis per day as and when required.
